Case study

Establishing a stronger foundation for Admiral Group's sustainability reporting

Overview

In the lead up to launching their new sustainability framework, the team wanted their Sustainability Report to do more than document activity.

It needed to establish a clear foundation for future reporting, expand on previous disclosures and better reflect the direction of travel for the group’s ESG ambitions.

Alongside this strategic shift, Admiral were also looking for a new reporting partner — one that could combine strong creative thinking with credible sustainability consultancy support. At pitch stage, they responded positively to a more adventurous visual direction, balanced by the depth of expertise available through Ever Sustainable.

Our approach

Ever Sustainable supported Admiral across both content and delivery. We began by outlining a clear and consistent page plan and structure for the report and with an early-stage review of the draft content – providing practical guidance to support the client’s drafting and ensure the emerging sustainability framework was being articulated clearly. Midway through the project, we carried out a focused, strategic review of the content, offering recommendations on how to strengthen the narrative and bring key messages into sharper focus following multiple iterations.

Design and creative teams worked closely throughout, ensuring that content was always being set in line with the agreed creative direction as it evolved. This close collaboration made it easier to respond to late content changes without compromising consistency or quality.

The outcome

  • A Sustainability Report that establishes a clear foundation for Admiral’s new sustainability framework
  • Expanded and more coherent sustainability disclosures, building on previous years
  • A visual outcome that strikes a considered balance between creativity and alignment with the Annual Report
  • Clearer sustainability messaging, strengthened through targeted mid‑project review
